Generous Giving

Our church family generously gives their time, service, and talents through so many acts of worship. At Mountain View, we encourage everyone to volunteer and give their gifts and talents through service.  Whether it be singing in our choir, serving in the nursery, donating and transporting goods to local shelters, cooking in our kitchen, serving with volunteer teams on the weekend, giving online, or dropping some dollars into the giving bucket, each and every act of generosity matters and helps change the lives of others. Every gift is an act of worship that truly brings us all closer to one another as the body of Christ, and our Creator.

Giving FAQs

Most frequent questions and answers

As a church, we believe that we are called to respond to the generosity of the gospel by giving from the heart. Biblical generosity is not about meeting budget needs. It is about a rich and trusting relationship with a living God. We express our faith and love to Him by honoring Him as the source of everything we have. Scriptural giving is performed with regularity, from the first portion of all we are given, as a proportion of our income, cheerfully, and without pressure or manipulation.

Whether you’d like to give a single gift, schedule recurring donations, or view your giving history, you can do it all online. It’s quick, easy, and secure. We have offering boxes at the back of our sanctuary for cash or check donations, or, you can mail cash or check to: 150 Champions Ln, Johnson City, TN 37601. Please include any designations with your gift.

At the beginning of each year, we will mail printed copies of contribution statements by request. If you would like your annual contribution statement mailed to your home address, contact our Office Administrator at admin@mtnviewbaptist.com.

Mountain View Baptist Church has been blessed with a wonderful opportunity to help with disaster relief in our area! The TN Baptist Disaster Relief, of the TBMB, has asked our church to serve as a command site for teams of trained disaster relief volunteers of Texans on Mission. We will be housing these volunteers over the next few weeks upstairs in our Sunday School classrooms. The first team will arrive on 10/1 from Texas. They will set up their own mobile showers and mobile kitchen in our parking lot. We ask you do not use the first row of parking spaces closest to the modular building over the next few weeks. We will continue to provide you with information as it comes available. In the meantime, please contact your deacon for further questions.
